If college student Caleb Hogan argues what he truly believes, he stands to lose the most important competition of his life and the support of his mother. If he softens his stance, he might win the coveted title...but lose the heart of his teammate Rachel in the process.
Come What May is a vivid reminder that choosing whatís right is never easy...but its always worth the cost.
With a love story in the forefront, Come What May is a clever tale about two young college students who are star debaters at Patrick Henry College(PHC) in Virginia.
Amazingly students and faculty from PHC helped developed the script for Come What May. Manny Edwards wrote the initial draft and worked with David Hallbrook, PHC Director of Communications and a Pulitzer Prize nominee, on subsequent versions. The core team on the film crew consisted of 40 home school students from 16 states. The NCFCA league was one of the speech and debate clubs used as a resource for finding the film's talented debaters.
Come What May was the winner of the Redemptive Storyteller Award at an international film festival. Despite the amateur and volunteer status of many of the movie's stars, the presentation of the story is quite compelling. Austin Kearney is excellent as Caleb Hogan, the film's young lead. Victoria Emmens is also great as his female counterpart. Kenneth and Karen Jezek team up to play Caleb's parents, who are struggling to salvage their marriage.
Come What May is a pro-life film that explores the very raw factors that relate to each side of the Roe vs. Wade debate. Along with its spiritual and political themes, the movie tells the story of one budding relationship and another on the verge of collapse.
